KATIE + NICK | MARRIED | THE ESTATE AT NEW ALBANY

Katie and Nick had one of those perfect, stress-free, never-fell-behind-schedule, BEAUTIFUL wedding days that are so fun to photograph! With a chance of rain on their big day, I though for sure Katie might be a little stressed, but when I called her to check in a few days before the wedding, she was cool, calm, and collected with a go-with-the-flow attitude about everything- a photographer's DREAM! The threat of rain still loomed overhead on the big day, but with some last minute quick decisions to change the order of some portraits, we were able to get in everything we needed outside before the drops began to fall! Everything from the cake to the florals to the centerpieces were so sweet and classy. And speaking of sweet- the bridal party and family of these two love birds were just icing on the cake. They all were so kind and helpful throughout the whole day and night. This day and its memories will stick with me for a long time! Katie and Nick- I hope you've enjoyed your first week as husband and wife! Now I hope you enjoy seeing your day through my eyes...

Katie and Nick did Kintsugi (Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold) during their ceremony. Wikipedia states that as a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise. I had never seen this done before as a unity marker. Such an awesome concept!
