the location guide
Here are some location ideas and inspiration if you need help choosing a setting for your photo session! This is not an all inclusive list, and if you have a particular place in mind you would rather look into, just let me know! I'm always open for exploring a new spot. Click through the photos from each location below to see some examples of sessions I've had at each spot. Keep in mind, depending on the time of year we are taking your pictures, the scenery may look slightly different. Some of the landmarks at each spot only look good in certain lighting conditions as well. If there is a particular landmark you are interested in including in your photos, let me know and I can make suggestions for timing.
Coffman Park
Located in Dublin, OH
Great park with beautiful landscaping, tall trees surrounding an open grass area, brick building, white barn-like structure, stone bridge, and walking path
Downtown Dublin/Bridge Park
Located in Dublin, OH
A cute, and quaint old city spot with so much versatility! Some more urban style backgrounds intermixed with greenery and gorgeous landscaping, all within easy walking distance. Olde Dublin area now connected via the new walking bridge.
Everal Barn and Homestead
Located in Westerville, OH
Everal Barn is a beautiful white barn surrounded by brick walkways, open grassy area, smaller brick buildings, and a small pond with my favorite tree: a weeping willow. This location also serves as a wedding/event venue and is not always open to the public for pictures. Best for early morning sessions and most weeknight sessions.
Homestead Park
Located in Hilliard, OH
Homestead is a wonderful park with so many options for photos! Perhaps its most popular feature is the field of wildflowers with a walking path through. You'll also see a couple of white barn structures, lots of white fencing, open fields, small ponds, and a covered bridge.
Inniswood Metro Gardens
Located in Westerville, OH
Inniswood is a very popular location for pictures, and it is easy to see why when you're there. This park consists of multiple beautifully kept gardens to walk around including a rose, rock, herb, and even a secret garden (it's a cute spot!). Tall trees surround the walkways to each garden area, and there are also nature trails if you're looking for more of a woodsy setting for your images.
Schiller Park
Located in Columbus, OH
Schiller is located near the heart of downtown Columbus and offers beautiful tree lined walkways, a small bridge over a pond, and some brick walkways lined with beautiful flowers. This location is within easy walking distance to German Village with brick walkways and alleys to tuck into for some awesome unique portraits.
Scioto Mile Area
Located in Columbus, OH
Schiller is located near the heart of downtown Columbus and offers beautiful tree lined walkways, a small bridge over a pond, and some brick walkways lined with beautiful flowers. This location is within easy walking distance to German Village with brick walkways and alleys to tuck into for some awesome unique portraits.

Some of my favorite couple's portrait sessions have happened at a favorite date spot or somewhere sentimental for the couple! I am always open to favorite hang outs and locations for families and seniors as well. Love to go camping? Enjoy picnics in the park? Invite me along for some sweet unique portraits!
